Kings Island

Once a year, Mike's employer has a company day. This year, the company rented out the amusement park Kings Island (we live only five miles away from the park). We have been wanting to take Ben, but there are only a few rides he is able to ride and it seemed crazy to pay $30 per ticket for that. Not to mention waiting in long lines doesn't seem like something Ben would tolerate. So needless to say, we were thrilled when we found out Company Day would be at Kings Island, closed to the general public - only employees and family members, and in addition to free entry, you also received $10/person in vouchers.

My mom, Ben, Mike and I had a great day at Kings Island. Ben rode four rides (two of them he rode twice) and spent a couple hours riding around in his car just taking in all the sites. The weather cooperated and we didn't see any rain (they were calling for 70% chance of thunderstorms). We got there right when the park opened and not many people were there yet, so we didn't have to wait in any lines. Ben seemed to enjoy all the rides he went on with the exception of the Mystery Machine Haunted House. We didn't even make it on that ride because the whole area leading up to the ride was so dark that you couldn't even see your hand in front of your face. That totally freaked Ben out. We had to exit that ride immediately! I didn't need to see Ben's face to know that he was crying.

Ben wasn't a fan of riding on the horses in the Merry-Go-Round, so he sat on the bench.

This was the second time Ben rode the Airplane - Grandma got off and I got on.
