Gosh, I am so tired of cold and flu season! Ben came down with a bad cold Saturday night/Sunday morning. He is home sick from school today. He has been sick on and off (more on than off) since the end of December. Being in preschool has really exposed him to so many bugs that he's never been exposed to before since he has mostly been in isolation during the winter season. I'm just thankful that he is strong enough to fight these illnesses off at home instead of the hospital. I just feel so bad for him every time he gets sick... especially because it is shortly after he just got over something else.
In addition to the cold, he is still having bm issues and this morning he woke up with a completely swollen face and swollen eyes that looked like little slits (after talking to the doctor they think it is allergy related because his window was open all night). He takes daily allergy medicine and drops for itchy eyes... but he still can't handle an open window during spring when everything is blooming. We won't make that mistake again.

Oh Ben I hope you feel better soon!! I also LOVE the monkey background I thought about using one of them for Eva's blog but I picked the birthday one for now, maybe next month.
Hugs to you all,
Crystal and Eva

Poor Ben and poor you and Mike. I'm sure all 3 of you are tired of him being sick. Aaron mentioned his eyes were almost swollen shut this morning and I told him I thought it was allergies. I can't sleep with the windows open for the same reason, even when I was little (Ben's age). Looks like he has allergies like his Mommy, Aunt Jen, and Pap Pap. I was a mess in San Antonio. The oak pollen was horrendous. Claritin didn't work, only Zyrtec and staying indoors. Are you able to give him Benedryl? That should help with making him less puffy in the face and eyes. Allergies on top of cold could cause ear and sinus infection...that's what happened to me. Give him extra hugs from all of us and we wish him (and you and Mike too), a speedy recovery. Oh yeah, and anti-histimines might dry his b.m.'s even more... :(
