Still no date for Ben's surgery. It is taking a while to coordinate the head catscan and the ENT scope - who knew?!?
Ben is starting his preschool meetings and it is crazy to think about him starting school in the fall. I can't help but giggle thinking of him sitting in a classroom. :)
Ben is getting all new therapists because he is now strong enough to handle going out in public for therapy! YAY. I am so excited that he is no longer considered fragile and needs home therapy. And, the team of therapists he is getting hooked up with is amazing! I can't wait. We had our initial meeting and they had so many good ideas. The one area I think he is going to benefit the most from, is communication.
Ben is back to not wanting to wear his cochlear implant all the time. I'm not sure why, but he is very persistent about only putting it on when he wants to listen to certain toys or TV shows. As soon as those stop, he flick it off. I'm not pushing him too hard on the issue because I think it is a control thing for him. Hopefully this is just a phase and will soon pass.

Things that make too much sense are obviously the hardest things to do in hospitals... ... we had the same trouble trying to schedule Lucas's MRI and ABR / AER hearing test at the same time, only to cancel them due to the recent hospital admission.
So exciting to hear about Ben and pre-school / new thearpist, that is great news!! We are going to try and start Lucas in preschool this year too, his is young but all his therapist really recommended it for him.
Thanks so much for the comment on our blog, we got home today and Lucas's PH is better on meds and now on O2... ... take care, the weindorfs
It is so hard to believe all our little ones are turning 3 this year. To bad we can not put them all in a classroom of their own...LOL!
Good luck with the transition and I hope the hospital can get Ben in soon to get this all over with.
Hugs,
Crystal and Eva
